Our staff
The majority of staff are trained to at least Level 3 (room leader) in Early Years Education and Childcare. We have supernumary students at Level 2 studying Level 3 and students at degree level studying the Early Years Professional Status from London Metropolitan University. The Nursery Principal – Guy Hanscombe holds a National Professional Qualification in Integrated Centre Leadership (NPQICL) which is equivalent to the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) for maintained nursery schools (level 7). Part of his role is to support staff in their professional development with in-house training, appropriate short courses and further learning. Guy has handpicked the team at West Kensington to ensure a wide range of teaching strategies are available and the staff’s experience reflects the needs of the children in the Nursery. The team strongly believe in continuity for children, this is why we follow our extensive policies and procedures. ALL staff are fully vetted and have a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check before becoming a full member of staff.
